Opening Day
Our doors officially open on Saturday, May 24 at 11:00 am!!!!
Memorial Day Cookout & Horseshoe Tournament. Announcing our first social event of the year!!!! We’ll have our annual Memorial Day Cookout on Monday May 26 from noon til 2pm. We’ll cook the burgers, dogs and beans and put out the chips and lemonade for $4 per plate. Members are asked to bring side dishes and deserts (no chips, please). We need your help setting up, cooking and cleaning up!!!! Also, on Memorial Day, we will have our first horseshoe tournament for the season. Look for signup sheets opening weekend.
New Sign-in Process this Season!!!!! For safety’s sake, we are making a change to our sign-in process that will allow us to better track who is at the pool each day. It’s easy!!! Each paid member has his/her own family page to record visits to the pool. When you arrive at the front desk, simply give your name to the gate guard, who will open the book to your page. All you need to do is fill in the first empty line on your sheet. We will also have a separate Guest Register this year. ALL guests (paid, out of town/unpaid, and passes) MUST be logged into the separate Guest Register before they will be admitted to the pool. Please refer to the Rules and Regulations attached below for information on member and guest attendance. If you have not paid your dues by Opening Day, please bring your application and dues with you when you come to the pool. Once paid, we will make your family page.
Rules & Regs – Members are reminded to review the posted (see forms page or frames copy in the front entrance) Rules and Regulations with their families (and guests) before the season starts! Our lifeguards and gate guards will be enforcing these rules for the safety of all our members and their guests. Drink, Ice Cream & Snack Machines. We have talked with our vending machine reps about the downtime experienced the last couple of years with the machines. The machines have been serviced this past winter and will be brought back to TVWRA for the opening of the 2008 season. The primary reason for the jams/downtime is that wet crumpled money and/or pennies are being used to pay for food in the machines. Please bring coin or dry dollars ($1 only) and remind your children to keep the dollar bills flat and dry!!!! Pennies will not work in the machine!!! Two additional reminders: The vending company does not reimburse for money lost in the machines. Also, the front desk does not maintain change for the machines; the gate guards cannot break up larger bills for members!!
www.tvwra.com - Want to keep up to date on TVWRA happenings, check out the website regularly. We even added a blog this year! What do you think??I’ve got my flip flops, towels and cooler ready to go!!!! Hope to see you this weekend at our Open House!!!!
