Hello all!!!!
A huge thank you goes out to those members who came by the pool to lend a helping hand with our clean up. We really appreciate your help. We hope more members can come by this weekend to complete more of the work we need to accomplish before we open the doors!!!!!

Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 – from 9am -2pm – Spring Cleaning, The Sequel. We need your help, so please come on by!!!!! We have simple tasks for all skill levels. We will need to plant 20 bushes this weekend, so bring a shovel and your teens with you to lend a hand!!!!!

Dues Reminder. The final cutoff for reduced dues is Friday, May 1. See application for dues level!!!!! Print the forms in this email now! Review the rules and regulations, complete and sign the application and childcare addendum (if applicable), and send your dues and forms to: TVWRA, P. O. Box 29204, Henrico, VA 23242.

If you are not planning on returning this summer, please send me a return email so we know! (We will miss you!!!)

Have some fun with us!!!! Rename Bradon Road. We have the opportunity to change the name of the street that leads to TVWRA (currently Bradon Road). Send me your suggestion for the what we should name OUR street!!!! We will gather the ideas and put it to a vote by the membership. Let’s have some fun.

May 9, May 16 & May 17 – from 1 to 4pm – Open House. Bring a prospective member to check out TVWRA. Pool will be open for swimming, weather permitting.

Swim Team Registration. If you missed last Sunday’s registration, come by on one of the Open House afternoons and sign up to be a 2009 Tiger Shark!!!! Swim team apparel will be available!

The TVWRA pre-season is getting started . . . Here’s what we have planned for this weekend:

Saturday, April 18 from 9 am – 2 pm – Spring Cleaning. Grab your gloves and come on by to spruce the place up. We will be painting, planting, cleaning, and doing minor repairs. All skill sets are appreciated!!! Please lend a hand. We can’t do this without you!

Sunday, April 19 from 9 am – 2 pm – Spring Cleaning Day 2. Come join the fun and get things ready for opening day. We need your help

Sunday, April 19 from 3 to 5 pm – Swim Team Registration at Glory Days!!!!! Come see your friends and meet our new coach, Courtney Drummond. Sign up to be a Tiger Shark!!!! Come early and have lunch or stay after and grab dinner – Save your receipts to help the team!!!!!

We had a great turnout last Saturday for our first open house.  The kids loved the water!!!!  Looking for a great place to spend your summer days and evenings???  Come on by this weekend – 5/17 and 5/18 – and check us out!!!!  We are ready for the 2008 season!!!!  Members, bring your dues and sign up for the swim team!!!  See you this weekend!!!

Please come by the pool this weekend to lend a hand. TVWRA remains the best pool and best pool value in the Far West End. Happy kids, happy adults, happy guests. This is only possible through the generous giving of your time. Even if you can only spend a few hours this weekend, the time can be well spent. Cleaning, painting, hanging, putting back, planting, etc. are all great uses of that few hours this weekend and next. I was on the board and can speak from experience that all volunteers with all skills are needed. Please stop by from 9 – 2 this weekend and see how you can help to get your pool ready for the season!

The summer will be here before you know it. This year, we have no major construction projects before the pool opens. It doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to do! Volunteer opportunities include general maintenance, painting, cleaning, gardening, painting, decorating, power washing, and did I mention painting?

Clean up days are scheduled for April 19th & 20th, and April 26th & 27th, from 9 – 2:00 each day. Come by to lend a hand to get YOUR pool ready for YOU! You do not need to be there the entire time — come for whatever time you can make available!
