ANNOUNCING THE START OF OUR SEASON

May 9, May 16 & May 17 – OPEN HOUSE WEEKENDS – 1 to 4 pm

It’s been raining all week, but Saturday should be sunny, so come on up to the pool!!!!! The pool will be open for swimming (with lifeguards), weather permitting!!!!

The best way we can grow our membership is by our members telling their friends and neighbors how great TVWRA is. So, this Saturday from 1 to 4 pm, bring your friends who might want to join our summer fun. No guest fees!!!

Last weekend really made me ready for the pool!!!!!  Less than a month to go!!!!  But wait, we don’t have to wait til opening day . . . .

Dues Reminder: The cutoff for reduced dues is Friday, May 1.  See application for dues level!!!!!  Print the forms in this email now!  Review the rules and regulations, complete and sign the application and childcare addendum (if applicable), and send your dues and forms to:  TVWRA, P. O. Box 29204, Henrico, VA 23242.

If you are not planning on returning this summer, please send me a return email so we know!  (We will miss you!!!)


HELP WANTED:  We need someone to roll sealer on the west deck, with a little bit of brush work as well.   Please meet Jeff Peterson at the pool on Saturday morning at 9:00, or call him at 240-0498 if you can do it at another time.  We really appreciate your help!!!!!

Needed:  Microwave for the Snack Building  — Have one that you want to donate????  Call Nina @ 360-4171.

Wanted:  Members with trailers who are willing to take a load to the dump.  We have in the parking lot a stack of trash, materials and a refrigerator that needs to be hauled to the dump.  If you have the means, please come take a load away!!!!!

Needed:  Are you interested in coordinating Ladies Night?  It’s scheduled for Friday night, June 19 from 5:30 to 8:30 (when the guys come in and the water volleyball starts).  Give me a call and I’ll give details!

Daddio’s Golf Tournament.  Daddio’s is sponsoring their 6th annual golf tournament on Thursday, June 4 at the Hollows Golf Club.  Our TVW swim team is one of the beneficiaries of the proceeds.  Sign up to play or sponsor a hole.  Prize and discounted business service donations are also needed.  For details call:  Tommy Stapleton 754-1448 or Randy/Cathleen Smith 741-2115.  Come out for this fun event!!!! Hello all!!!!
A huge thank you goes out to those members who came by the pool to lend a helping hand with our clean up. We really appreciate your help. We hope more members can come by this weekend to complete more of the work we need to accomplish before we open the doors!!!!!

Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 – from 9am -2pm – Spring Cleaning, The Sequel. We need your help, so please come on by!!!!! We have simple tasks for all skill levels. We will need to plant 20 bushes this weekend, so bring a shovel and your teens with you to lend a hand!!!!!

The TVWRA pre-season is getting started . . . Here’s what we have planned for this weekend:

Saturday, April 18 from 9 am – 2 pm – Spring Cleaning. Grab your gloves and come on by to spruce the place up. We will be painting, planting, cleaning, and doing minor repairs. All skill sets are appreciated!!! Please lend a hand. We can’t do this without you!

Sunday, April 19 from 9 am – 2 pm – Spring Cleaning Day 2. Come join the fun and get things ready for opening day. We need your help

Sunday, April 19 from 3 to 5 pm – Swim Team Registration at Glory Days!!!!! Come see your friends and meet our new coach, Courtney Drummond. Sign up to be a Tiger Shark!!!! Come early and have lunch or stay after and grab dinner – Save your receipts to help the team!!!!!

Details are on the web site for now, and heading to your email. New forms are posted so from the main site, click on forms and print ‘em out, fill ‘em in, and mail them with your check to get the biggest discount for early payment (March 16th is the deadline).

The deadline for registration for the NOVA swim clinics is today (Monday, 2/16)!!!! Remember, TVWRA’s time for the upcoming 10 clinics is Sunday afternoons from 3-4:00 (unless you’ve made other arrangements with NOVA).
